I hope to make it back to Paris, Kentucky again one day and if I do I will be staying at the treehouse. From breakfast in the morning to restaurant suggestions and farm tours Pat is the best. Pat is amazingly knowledgeable about the area and its history and gives a wonderful tour.

The side of the house that faces the creek is all windows and the interior has the charming country lodge feel. Pat even has a boat he will take you for a lift on. It has a wonderful wrap around deck in the trees that looks over a beautiful quiet creek. You don't initially see it when you drive up but once you set foot on the deck you understand why the place is so special. I have stayed at B &Bs before but the Treehouse is in a category all by itself. I stayed three nights while at a conference in Lexington and it was absolutely unforgettable. I'm not really sure where to start so I guess I shall just say.

Enjoy yourself if you make this journey … There is a saying among many true golfers (which I am not) that "it's not about the games, it's really about the company you keep." The hospitality of this innkeeper is truly the rewarding experience. Whether the boat ride on the river or simply walking among expanses of horse pastures knowing that one of those Bay-colored creatures may just be the next seven figure Triple Crown winner. As one who is so intense every single day and hardly ever forgets work, this place dialed me down. There you'll see rolling greens of beautiful thoroughbred horses, the opulent trappings of the Kentucky green grass countryside and zillions of wood fence miles. As well, if you're into horses, a trip across the river guided by the innkeeper is graciously offered. Kentucky is idyllic and Paris epitomizes it. Every good thing you've read in other reviews listed here are true. Fourteen hours later we departed fully immersed in the State, its traditions, the true things locals should do in their lives, and truly enjoyed the company of the innkeeper Pat. Mary and I pulled into Paris, Kentucky as green around the ears as can be about Kentucky. If you're one who just wants an AirBnB bed, a price and that's all then leave room those who really appreciate hospitality, Pat Conley style. M&Ms placed in just about every nook and cranny of the house!!! We had to share a common bathroom with others (but was never inconvenienced by this)ĩ.ěreakfast times may vary as Pat accompanies people to some of the early morning activities offeredġ0. Personally, I am a dog lover so this added to the experience. They are NOT allowed in the guest rooms, but will join you on the deck, common areas and boat rides. He has 2 wonderful West Highland Terriers that are very much part of the family. Tell him your interests and he will give you days worth of great ways to spend your time in the area!ħ. Pat knows EVERYTHING and EVERYONE in the area. Weather and time permitting, a leisurely Pontoon boat ride is included with your stayĦ.
